Andrew Baker is a practicing dermatology physician associate and the founder of Clintel Strategies, an independent clinical intelligence platform serving private equity firms and life sciences organizations in dermatology.

His work focuses on understanding how dermatologic care is actually delivered at scale—particularly through PA- and NP-led models—and translating that reality into investment, operating, and commercialization insight.

LEADERSHIP & PERSPECTIVE

Andrew currently practices inside a private-equity-backed dermatology platform environment and will assume the role of President of the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA)—the largest national organization representing non-physician dermatology clinicians—effective July 1, 2026.

He is also a recognized dermatology key opinion leader, advising across industry on adoption, utilization, and clinical workflow considerations that influence real-world outcomes.
